Focus and Scope

Jo-ELT (Journal of English Language Teaching) is a peer-reviewed journal published by the Faculty of Culture, Management, and Business, Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika (UNDIKMA). This journal publishes empirical research articles in the field of English Language Teaching and Learning. Submissions are expected to be based on original field data collected through classroom research, experiments, surveys, interviews, observations, or other empirical methods relevant to English education. The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:

1. Theory and practice in English language teaching and learning, with emphasis on classroom-based or field research;

2. Teaching English as a second or foreign language (TESL/TEFL) through empirical investigation and pedagogical innovation;

3. English language teacher training and education, including studies on teacher development, classroom practices, and professional identity grounded in empirical evidence.

Jo-ELT does not consider purely conceptual, theoretical, or library-based papers that do not include primary data.
