Abstract

Rendahnya prestasi belajar matematika disebabkan karena (1) Siswa kurang aktif dalam mengikuti pembelajaran matematika. (2) Siswa belajar matematika hanya dengan menghafal rumus-rumus yang telah diperolehnya sehingga mereka sulit dalam menyelesaikan masalah, terutama masalah-masalah aplikatif. Salah satu tipe model pembelajaran kooperatif yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa adalah metode Group Investigasi (GI). Peneliti mencoba mengkombinasikan penerapan metode GI dengan pendekatan lesson study (LS), untuk memaksimalkan pembelajaran sehingga nantinya diharapkan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI berbasis LS dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif pada materi teorema pythagoras siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Gunungsari . Metode penelitian ini adalah PTK yang digabungkan dengan lesson study.Dari hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada siklus I dengan rata-rata nilai sebesar 73,94 dengan persentase ketuntasan 58,8% kemudian meningkat pada siklus II sebesar 84,59 dengan persentase ketuntatasan 88,2%,Maka disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran koperatif tipe Group investigation berbasis lesson study dapat meningktakan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada materi teorema pythagoras siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Gunungsari .
